TIP OF THE WEEK: Support with Support 'a Jerryism'.  It is much easier for the partnership to find the correct strain if you can support partner at your first opportunity.  Choosing to bid a new suit and THEN supporting partner should show a better hand.

KUDOS & CONGRATULATIONS -Wednesday night a 70.14% for Jill McCormick & Jim Mathers. My Thanks to Liz Legacy for helping to put together the analysis for the Erin Berry Rookie Master Game to be held next TUESDAY afternoon at 12:30.  We have several rookies signed up and we expect more this week so if you have more than 50 masterpoints, sign up  to be a Master - just let Jill or I know.  We are expecting 20 tables, so sign up early.  Erin Berry Rookie/Master Game - Tuesday October 18th  at 12:30 pm

         C 8 6 3 2
Lead:
S 10
        S A J 7 2
        H A 8 2
        D K Q 6
        C J 5 4

Answer to last week's quiz:
Your Right Hand Opponent opens the bidding with 1C.
What is your call holding the following:

S 3
H A K J 9 7 6
D A J 4
C K J 10

Answer:  This is a nice hand and you are considering doubling and then bidding hearts  - but wait, you know your partner is going to bid spades.  It could be problematic to double and then bid hearts, so get in their right away with your heart suit and if need be, bid them twice!!

See you at the tables,
