M C & G  Bridge Studio   31-Jul-2016

TIP OF THE WEEK: Be disciplined with your takeout doubles!  Do not make a takeout double without support for the unbid suits - - even with 13 points!  Partner will likely bid your doubleton and you will compound your error by bidding NoTrump Yikes!  PASS with your 13 or 14 points; you will likely get a second chance.  Say your RHO opens 1C and you hold S: A 10 6 5, H: K 7, D: A J 9 7, C: J 10 7.  Unless you want to overcall a 4-card suit PASS.  Likely your LHO will bid hearts and RHO will raise to two hearts or bid 1 NT.  NOW you can double to show spades and diamonds, the unbid suits.

BRIDGE STUDIO IS OPEN TOMORROW (NATAL DAY) AT 12:30 AND FOR JUST PLAY BRIDGE AT 7:00.
