Shingles Vaccine Study for Adults 50-59 Years of Age Clinical Trials Research Center IWK Health Centre Shingles causes a painful rash. The rash lasts for a few weeks but the pain may last for months. Most people who get shingles are 50 years or older or have a weak immune system. We are doing a study on a vaccine to prevent shingles.
