This (or with Puppet Stayman ) will be a very common auction. There are a couple of point worth making. First is the East hand. Are you tempted to compete over the 2♣ opening? This is exactly the wrong type of hand to compete with! the 5-5 shape is okay but you have two aces so you are certain the opponents have only game AND your suits are of such poor quality that you may have 4 losers in your trump suit.
I believe that the Stayman auction will get East away from a spade lead. I would lead a club when South showed four spades either directly (Puppet Stayman auction) or by inference (regular Stayman auction). A club lead will allow declarer the time to knock out both aces and claim eleven tricks. Repeated spade attacks can hold declarer to ten tricks but the lead and second continuation are both dicey. Partner might hold the stiff ♠Q and declarer the ♠AK8 meaning that a continuation will cost a trick.

How aggressive will East be?
This hand is a fine example of how powerful a preempt can be. East has no great bid when 3 is passed around to him. Double is risky. If partner passes, it rates to go down three or four tricks, but opposite as little as the A10x and five small clubs, a vulnerable club slam is cold. Some Easts may choose to bid 4, which traditionally showed a hand too strong for a takeout double, two or three-suited in nature. Nowadays my partners might think I was bidding Michaels Cue Bid , so I would probably risk the double. 4 agrees hearts and invites slam. 4♠ says I am really serious, we don't need much for slam. West cooperating by showing a diamond control might be enough to get East to risk the slam bid or maybe West will realize how valuable his six-count is and try 6 over 4♠. I doubt it...
A not too unlikely 4-1 heart break could easily scuttle the heart slam.

Made 6 — EW +1430

I'm certain North will and should preempt but I'm not sure how high North will go. North can't be certain that East West have a slam and it would be a shame to go for -800 when they just decide to double 5♣.
I prefer to play double or redouble over competition shows a complete bust for responder and pass shows some values. West's double is routine. West doesn't want to bid 4 and suggest a single-suited hand. After doubling, if West gets a chance to bid hearts, West will have described the hand very well.
East may pass 4 but East may also use the preempt against North. East has solid support and a suit that can be established as well as a ruffing value and entries. I think would at least make a slam try over 4.
I'd win the club lead and play a heart to the K and then a heart back. When they are 3-1, I'm basically home. I cash the AK and then the ♠AK and then ruff a spade to dummy. I discard one club on the Q and then ruff a diamond. Finally I ruff my last club in the dummy, not caring if South overruffs.
If hearts are 4-0, I will need diamonds to break 3-2 and South to have three. I'll play the 9 third. South will have to duck or I can claim so South will duck. I will then ruff a spade to dummy and play the Q. If South follows to the Q, I claim my 12 tricks by playing a 4th diamond and discarding my last club.

7♠ by North
Made 7 — NS +1510

North must decide what to open. My plan is to open 1♠ and then rebid 3. My hand is more oriented towards a suit contract given the great controls but poor intermediates. With only a five-card spade suit, 2♣ is less tempting.
I think this is a common sense auction to the grand slam in spades. As South, the grand slam in diamonds is also tempting to me. I am worried about partner's trump suit not being robust enough and there being a trump loser. In diamonds, I might be able to handle a bad trump break much better! I could imagine trumping a club or two in the North hand and maybe even trumping the second club high with the A. Having established my clubs, I could then easily draw trump with my KQJ10 and handle a 4-1 break without issue. Playing the grand slam in spades will require a decent trump break.
What about 7NT? I can't count 13 tricks in notrump so I wouldn't bid it as South. I can count 5 spades, 4 diamonds, 1 heart and 2 clubs. Thats only 12. In a suit contract, I expect partner to be able to trump a heart in my hand for a 13th trick.

Kevin Wilson Hand Analysis
WestNorthEastSouth
PassPass1Pass
2♣Pass5♣All pass
5♣ by West
Made 6 — EW +620

It will be hard for East to picture slam opposite a passed hand. I think East will settle for 5♣ and be done with it. If East were to make the more aggressive bid of 3 over 2♣ ( A Splinter ), West has an absolute maximum and would probably drive to slam. One positive of the Splinter bid for East is that if East does it, East can happily pass 3NT when West bids 3NT. West would not be tempted to bid 3NT with A106, but with KQ10 or AJ10 West might well try to play in 3NT at matchpoints.
The West hand doesn't meet the Rule of 20 and I don't there is a clear case to open it. It would only be opened playing a limited opening bid system like Precision .
Note the the slam is on a finesse.
