Defense is frequently considered the hardest part of bridge, due to the simple fact that you can't see what your partner has! Thus, it is important to be able to act intelligently while defending, and to tell your partner as much as you can about your hand.
This 3 hour workshop focuses on the first trick of the defense - namely, how to listen to the auction; how to choose what to lead; what third-hand should play to the first trick; the attitude signal; and how to make a defensive plan. This workshop is intended for novice and beginner players, such as those playing in the Thursday Morning Supervised Play, Monday Evening Just Play, and 99ers games, but is open to any player.
